Scared...

I've begun spotting. It started very lightly after my ultrasound on Monday, but seems to come and go. I don't know if it's related to the SCH, being on blood thinners, or worse. I am trying to "take it easy" and I think I'll give my doctor a call this morning just to let him know what's going on. I know he can't do anything, and it's just a waiting game at this point.

I just really wish that Jer hadn't convinced me to "announce" at 9.5 weeks. If something happens, I'd rather not have to go into it. Trying to remain positive because the little one was looking so good on the ultrasound Monday. Please stay, little one, we want you so badly.

  1. Please let us know what the doctor says. I hope everything is okay. I'll be praying for your little one and sending you lots of sticky vibes.

  2. Good luck, Tina. I will think positive sticky vibes for you.

Just as an "fyi" when I was 9 weeks pregnant I bled quite badly and passed huge clots and had cramps and the whole bit. At the ER they showed me that the baby was perfectly fine. The tons of blood and clots were from the SCH..and I bled for a number of weeks.

It was terrifying, but Jack showed up right on time several months later.

I wanted to share with you so that you would know that bleeding doesn't always mean the end.

    Good luck!

  5. Here from LFCA and wanted you to know I'm thinking about you. I think it will be good for you to call your doctor; perhaps it's possible for them to determine the source of the bleeding?

I can only imagine how scary it must be to have bleeding and a SCH but there are many people with both who continue on to have healthy, normal pregnancies. Stay positive!

  6. I had this same problem starting at 11 weeks. I spotted the first time brown blood, then I have had 2 scares where I have bled a large amount of red blood and then another one w/ brown blood. SOOOOOOOO scary, but my baby is still okay. I have had an u/s each week to check on the babe. It is so scary, but just wanted to give you hope that you can cramp & bleed and still be okay. I will be thinking about you!

  7. From LFCA. So sorry about the spotting! I had the same thing with my pregnancy around that time. It turned out to be nothing. Praying the same for you!

  8. I'm surprised the doctor didn't tell you to stop the blood thinners (baby aspirin?). That's the first thing mine did. I've been on light bedrest since Decmber 2 with SCH. I've had four massive bleeds and non-stop spotting. It's a pain in the ass and terribly nerve-wracking waiting for and worrying about the possible next bleed, but through it all, the baby has been just fine. Hoping for the best for you and your little one.

  9. I was on Lovenox with my last pregnancy and always spotted for a LONG time after every ultrasound, exam, or even a long day on my feet. There was no other cause every determined. Also, I had a SCH in another pregnancy that had to "bleed out," but did not harm the pregnancy in any way.

Praying for something equally as "explicable" for you.
